The craft of the shepherd is an age‑old profession in which the herder is responsible for guiding and caring for a flock of sheep. Flock sizes can vary greatly, from a few dozen to several hundred animals. Sheepdogs play a crucial role in the shepherd’s work.

KoddeKudde from Weert will give sheep‑herding demonstrations to bring this traditional craft to life. Children can bottle‑feed lambs, cuddle Border Collie puppies, and try spinning and carding wool.

The weavers will be knitting socks this afternoon using a modern printed sock‑knitting machine. In addition to machine knitting, visitors can also see hand‑knitting, felting and spinning.
