  • 30 March
  • 13:00h-17:00h

The Boerenbondsmuseum is known for its many enthusiastic and knowledgeable volunteers who are happy to welcome every guest. The crafts are not only demonstrated here, but also passed on to younger generations. In this way, the cultural heritage is preserved and future generations get to know and appreciate the past. What was life and work like in the Brabant countryside around 1900? In the museum you will experience the atmosphere of an authentic village with historic buildings from the region, restored to their former glory. Children still played in the street, here they could romp around in the yard in the schoolyard, watch with open mouths how clogs are made from a piece of wood or how the blacksmith works red-hot iron. In the tree trunk sawmill they can see how a thick oak tree is sawn into planks and in the historic school class they can experience how their peers went to school more than 100 years ago.
