About the theatrical spectacle: De Boer op
In September 2025, the Boerenbondsmuseum will transform into a stunning open-air theater — a unique setting for a unique performance: De Boer op – The Return of P. van den Elsen, the Farmers’ Apostle
In 2025, it will be 100 years since Gerlacus van den Elsen passed away. Gerlacus, also known as “the Farmers’ Apostle,” was born in the farmhouse that now houses the museum. In De Boer op…, he returns to his birthplace and sees that the agricultural sector is still under pressure. He decides to intervene once more…
It promises to be a spectacular show with a large cast, live music, and a special location.
